Nice and cool for winter

In the town centre of Maldon so much happening for July with the Winter Festival already well underway.

The teddy bears in the shop windows, plenty for families to do, has been happening for a few days already but will continue. Take the steam to Maldon, and experience the Goldfields Steam Train Teddy Bear Express, Teddy Bear Parade, Free Bear Hugs, Whole Town Treasure Hunt.

New works of art for our shop window display, for July 2026 include, 'Contrasting teddybears', and acrylic painting, 'The Teddybear Collector', both by visual artist Initially NO. These are in our front window for everyone to see.

Handmade cards, as well as printed cards by visual artist Initially NO. We keep them the same price, because they are gift-cards, but there is a difference. An original image handmade artwork is something that has far more significance than a print. People whom enjoy looking at the details of brushstrokes or pen work, know this.

Plenty of activities also for adults at the Maldon in Winter festival, lectures, classes, in art music, dance, history... and several galleries, including The Painter And The Writer Gallery (that has paintings and sculptures of life-models), and many delicate works of art. So we always ask that children are supervised by parents if they are to enter our double room shop premises.
